TERMS & PAYMENT PROCEDURES
All MAC memberships are charged month-to-month, unless you purchase a non-refundable annual membership (Paid in full). To sign up, new members are required to pay a one-time initiation fee plus pro-rated dues for the current month. Classic memberships are a year commitment and have a cancellation fee of $100, if canceled before the year is fulfilled. Choice memberships are free to cancel at any time with a 30 day notice, or we offer a freeze policy for those who travel or become injured for a prolonged amount of time. If at any time a membership is cancelled, an initiation fee may be required to reactivate the membership.
A $25 annual membership fee is charged to any classic, choice or annual member in October.
Monthly billing is processed automatically every month through a credit card (Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover® or American Express®), debit card or checking account.

Carol Figurido - Master Personal Trainer
After raising three children and overcoming a breast cancer diagnosis, Carol found her passion in fitness. Realizing that being fit would help lower the risk of a cancer reoccurrence, it became a way of life. Carol has worked previously as the Director of Group Fitness, and now as a Master Personal Trainer and group fitness instructor for over 20 years. She holds certifications through the American Council on Exercise, Stott Pilates, Indoor cycling, Reebock Coreboard, Resist-a-ball, Total Barre, and Fitness Resources Association. Carol has a specialty in working with clients with balance issues, Multiple Sclerosis, arthritis, and recovery from breast cancer surgery and reconstruction. Carol's aim is to help people gain optical muscular-skeletal performance through strength, flexibility, and endurance resulting in a balanced and aligned body and thereby improving quality of life. In her spare time, Carol enjoys playing golf, reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ken Olson - Master Personal Trainer
Ken has worked at the Manchester Athletic Club since 2008 as a personal trainer. When the MAC Fitness in Gloucester opened Ken relocated there and became a Master Trainer. Ken is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. Ken also holds a bachelor’s degree in health fitness management and a master’s degree in sports management. Ken is a certified TRX instructor and you’ll find him teaching classes regularly at MAC Fitness Gloucester. An exercise program done consistently rather than infrequently gives us the ability to meet life’s daily challenges with greater success and working with Ken on a regular basis will help you reach those goals. The scenic beauty of Cape Ann, along with great friends and his loyal cat of many years, inspires Ken to help individuals of all populations reach their fitness goals
Alicia Drury - Yoga Instructor
Alicia Drury has been teaching private and group yoga since 2003 (Yoga Alliance Certified). After years away from the gym, her participation in the Commit to Get Fit program at the MAC rekindled her interest in weight training. Finding that her knowledge of alignment translated easily to training, she decided to expand her skills and earn her personal training certification (NASM '14) to train others. Her underlying training philosophy is to help clients maintain a high level of strength and mobility whether they are an athlete, a weekend warrior, an avid gardner, or just want to move in comfort and with ease. She is also a Qualified TRX group and individual instructor (TRX) and has her Senior Fitness Specialiazation certification (NASM). Aside from individual training and teaching yoga at the MAC, she has also coached teenagers in our Summer SPI program. When she's not working, she loves being outdoors, hiking, snowshoeing, paddleboarding, and, of course, weight training and yoga.
Ron Desisto - Personal Trainer
Ron is a WITS Certified Personal Trainer and Northeastern University graduate. As an avid mountain biker, skier, and trail runner, he learned over the years that the best way to get over an injury is to prevent it from happening. An exercise program should not only help performance but also prevent injury. By working from the core out and strengthening the body as a whole, injury can be prevented in sport and everyday activities. He brings out the best in clients by developing exciting routines that suit each individual’s goal and works to help attain a more fulfilling life.
