Practice techniques to calm and quiet the ever-busy mind that often impacts the success of your game. The class begins with a gentle yoga flow, followed by a mindful Yin yoga/mindfulness practice. What is Yin yoga? It is a simple, yet powerful practice where yoga poses on the floor are passively held for several minutes. Holding the poses allows you to release long-held tension in the joints, connective tissues, and facia – particularly those of the hips, upper and lower back, and shoulders. As we passively hold the poses, attention is focused on breath work and mindfulness techniques to practice how to stay present and calm and to facilitate letting go — helpful on and off the court!
